As an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association's Orthopedic Chapter, he is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He specializes in the treatment of sports related injuries, orthopedic conditions, and spine rehabilitation.
Andrew is certified in advanced manual therapy techniques designed to reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function. He holds additional certifications in advanced dry needling and functional mobility. For best long-term results, Andrew prioritizes an active approach to rehabilitation through the use of therapeutic exercise prescription and consistent follow-up progression.
Andrew has worked in the rehab and fitness industry since 2007. Growing up as a baseball athlete, he earned an NCAA Division 1 athletic scholarship to play for the University at Buffalo, where he graduated with his Bachelor's in Psychology in 2012. Realizing his passion for human performance and rehabilitation, Andrew continued his studies and graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2016.
Andrew is a proud U.S. Air Force veteran medical officer. In 2018, he was selected for commission and completed his Officer Training School in Montgomery, AL. In his first assignment at Travis AFB, CA, he served as the Physical Therapy Department Chief, leading the Air Force's largest rehab clinic's outpatient and inpatient missions during the COVID pandemic.
In 2021, Andrew deployed to the Middle East where he served as a combat medical provider in support of Operations Inherent Resolve, Spartan Shield, Freedom's Sentinel, Octave Quartz, and Allies Refuge during the end of the 20-year Global War on Terror.
In his final assignment at Holloman AFB, NM, Andrew earned the distinct title 'Aerospace Physical Therapist' and served as the first-ever physical therapist to embed in an F-16 fighter squadron and earn aeronautical flying orders. As the Medical Director for the Aviation Performance Team, Andrew oversaw the physical health and fitness for the future generation of the world's greatest fighter pilots.
Since 2016, Andrew has practiced in numerous settings to include military environments stateside and deployed overseas, private practice outpatient orthopedics, professional and collegiate sports - including with the San Francisco Giants Major League Baseball Organization - and he has previously served as adjunct faculty for his alma mater's DPT program, Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Andrew's passion is working with a motivated population that is eager to stay active and healthy. He specializes in assessing movement impairments, return to sport and activity training, corrective mobility exercise, and integrates strength and conditioning principles specific to his clients' goals and needs.
In his free time, Andrew loves traveling and spending quality time with his wife Emily, son Bennett, and 2 dogs Archie and Ursa!
